two for tuesday
nerd alert: team teamwork remixes 10 hip hop tracks with samples of music from the N64 zelda classic, ocarina of time, and cleverly call it the ocarina of rhyme. if you are wondering, yes i downloaded the entire mixtape, and yes, i did listen to every single track. i think the clipse and mf doom tracks were my favorite. i highly recommend you download it and get your geek on.
also, the internet gods are really not happy with the fact that i just can't seem to get into telepathe, and today, served me with a belated birthday present.. this "mixtape". i checked the track listing and being that i'm a sucker for lisa lisa and the cult jam, i succumbed. it was the best 41 minutes of my day so far - though keep in mind i haven't had the best day...

listening to ocarina of rhyme was like a crazy mindfuck. it's as if my youth suddenly became gangsterized. i never realized that great fairy's fountain could sound so thug. also, goron city and aesop rock seem to complement each other well. that level always had a funky beat to it.
