Black Moth Super Rainbow: Eating Us
Get our your LSD and kaleidoscopes, Black Moth Super Rainbow have a new album coming in May! The PA Psych-poppers recorded this one in a real studio for the first time with producer, Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, MGMT). All of their previous albums were done by lead singer and mastermind, Tobacco (né Tom Fec), and then adapted to be a full-band affair for their live show... which is one of the best in "the biz." Seriously, I saw a kid pass out to it at Johnny Brenda's! The only major difference between Eating Us and BMSR's previous albums is the use of live drums in the studio, but it sounds like they've been run through enough processing that they could hardly be called "clean." Eating Us us isn't new territory for Black Moth, but it should be enough to keep their fans happy and maybe raise their profile a bit.
