How I Got Over
Every time The Roots do something new I get excited. They don't always live up to my expectations, but that's because my expectations for them are freakin' ridiculous. So, as usual, this new video for "How I Got Over," the title track from their next album (2/10), doesn't change the way I see the world (I already know it's bad), but it is a great single.
I'm hoping this track is an indication that the next album won't be as hard-hitting politically as Rising Down. Not that I didn't love that album, but I'm really hoping they get a chance to put this song on wax.
