"Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime" was originally a hit single for The Korgis in the 1980's, which was then covered by Beck for the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind soundtrack in 2004. Now, this very day, it has been redone and released on The Field's fantastic new album Yesterday & Today.

Beck's version is ironically one of his best songs, stripped down and less scientological, if you know what I mean. No? Well, I don't know what that means either, but it's a really good cover. The Field's, Axel Willner takes the basic melody from and stretches it into a nearly 7-minute mellowed-out trance jam. Both covers are worth their considerable running time for a simple pop song, but both showcase their respective performers doing what they do best.
