Wondering what the new spring scent will be? Look no more!
A German research team in March 2009 has announced that it will try to resurrect the favorite perfume of the Egyptian "she king" Hatshepsut from her 3,500 year old perfume bottle. The bottle is 4.7 inches tall (12 centimeters) dating approximately from 1457 BCE, and today resides in Bonn University's Egyptian Museum. Scientists hope to identify the substance in the bottle and if capable, they hope to recreate the scent with-in the year.
