The Condo Fucks are actually a band. They're Yo La Tengo. Despite the ridiculous efforts of Matador's public relations department, the secret is pretty much out. The back cover of Fuckbook would lead you to believe that the Condo Fucks have put out several albums and were, in fact, staples of the 90's indie-rock scene. They weren't. Well, they sort of were, but you know, not as the Condo Fucks. For clarification, read this interview.

Fuckbook is the first and only record the Condo Fucks have put out. I've heard a few people say that this albums sounds like it was recorded in two weeks... I'd say more like 33 minutes (the total running time of the album). Fuckbook is full of one-off covers of some lesser-known 60's and 70's garage-rock classics, recorded in a lo-fi haze, but played with way more skill than necessary. It's essentially a joke, but as 33 minute musical jokes go, this one's totally worth it. Suck it, Brett and Jemaine.
