Root Blog

I've developed a very rational fear that I'm going to read nothing but the Root Blog for the next few days. It's looking like a dreary weekend and this blog is as they say, a "veritable treasure trove" of awesome, bizarre, and infinitely interesting music, art, and videos.

Take this BBC documentary clip with Brian Eno. He's easily one of the most pretentious, but unrelentingly creative people alive and for someone of his level of genius, he's amazingly candid about his process. Even if you're not a fan of Eno I can guarantee this will be one of the most interesting things you'll see today - and probably tomorrow and the day after that.

Don't even get me started on all the .zip files of old Mississippi Records cassettes that are available for download. Seriously, don't get me started because it will interrupt me from listening to them. Here's one to get you going. You'll have to scroll through to find the rest, but good luck, you'll probably get sidetracked about 17,000 times along the way.
