Eccentric Breaks & Beats

In this day and age "bootleg" really isn't a dirty word. We may not call it was it is, but *most people download either books or movies, or both, illegally. This is all essentially bootlegging. There's no stopping it. Some people still buy the physical products to support the artists they love and some are just leeches.

One thing I've never really seen before is when a label whose output has been bootlegged (and, in this case, flipped and chopped) decides to reclaim their product and release it. That's exactly what Numero Group is doing with their upcoming Eccentric Breaks & Beats release.

For more info on this release, the story behind it, and the atrocious artwork, check out this Chicago Reader article, and Numero Group's own blog post explaining their rationale for taking back the beats, with a little audio sample of what to expect come June.
