Some of these songs have been circulating for a little while, the Phoenix remix/cover especially seems to be a minor internet sensation. The Soft Pack are a band well-suited for cover songs. The main selling point of their sound is their semi-detached SoCal coolness. Just apply that to pretty much anything and you've got a good cover song.
"Answer to Yourself" and "Down On Lovin" are brand new originals. "Answer to Yourself" is a small step forward in their sound. They've beefed up the guitars and singer, Matty McLoughlin seems slightly more self-assured in his delivery of classic pop hooks. "Down On Lovin" sounds great too in this acoustic beach session video!
