Peggy Sue popped onto my radar a minute ago when they DJ'ed a quick gig for my (real) job during CMJ. Formerly Peggy Sue and the Pirates, they definitely stepped up their game when they dropped the pirates in favor of a drummer and started playing gigs with the likes of Joan As Policewoman, The Maccabees and (most recently) Sky Larkin... Teaming up with the Dodos' producer for their newest album due out in early 2010 doesn't hurt either.
